The social and economic impact of investment and social protection in Senegal: An integrated assessment using the Structural Model for Sustainable Development

Related publications PDF / 1.2 MB

This report presents an integrated assessment of investment operations and social protection policies in Senegal using the Structural Model for Sustainable Development (SMSD). The SMSD, developed by the International Labour Organization (ILO), serves as a versatile quantitative tool that enables policymakers to evaluate the complex interactions between the economic, social and environmental dimensions of development. Unlike many existing policy tools that often analyse policies in isolation, the SMSD captures the interconnected nature of economies, providing insights into how interventions in one sector ripple through the entire socio-economic system.
