The Asian Development Bank's is hosting the Asia-Pacific Social Protection (APSP) Week 2026 from 6-8 October. The forum brings together government leaders, policymakers, practitioners, development partners, and innovators to take stock of progress, showcase practical solutions, and co-create pathways toward inclusive, resilient, and sustainable social protection systems.
The Global Accelerator, in collaboration with the Department of Labour and Employment, Philippines, is hosting a special session, "From Roadmap to Results: Accelerating Investments in Decent Jobs and Social Protection in the Philippines and across Asia and the Pacific", on 7 October, to showcase how pathfinder countries have demonstrated strong country ownership to deliver on decent jobs and social protection, as an imperative for their economic and social growth.
The Global Accelerator translates high-level political commitments into nationally owned roadmaps that bring together relevant ministries and stakeholders around agreed policy priorities, implementation arrangements, and financing strategies for decent jobs and social protection. The roadmap provides a platform for aligning ongoing and planned initiatives on employment, skills, social protection, and just transitions, while identifying areas where stronger financing, policy coordination, and implementation support are required.
The session will feature representatives from pathfinder countries in the Asia-Pacific region, showcasing their implementation experience, and explore how governments and development partners have moved from nationally owned roadmaps to concrete reforms, investments, and results.
Register at the link below for the Social Protection Week and attend the Global Accelerator's session live on 7 October, from 16:45–18:00 (GMT+8).
