Country progress
- The Royal Government of Bhutan confirmed the country’s official commitment to the Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection at the Cabinet Secretary level on 12 December 2024.
- The Goverment of Bhutan has developed its national Global Accelrator Roadmap togetehr witht he UN Resident Coordiantor office and the UN agencies. An overview of the roadmap is accesible here.
- The Global Accelerator will support the implementation of Bhutan’s 13th Five-Year Plan, which focuses on inclusive economic growth, social protection, and sustainable employment opportunities.
- The Office of Cabinet Affairs and Strategic Coordination (OCASC) will lead the coordination and implementation of the Global Accelerator in Bhutan, working closely with line ministries and the Ministry of Finance to leverage existing frameworks and resources.
