Global Accelerator and M-GA highlights

  • Conducted two surveys, to assess social inclusion income and to evaluate the impact of the social pension on poverty reduction, to collect evidence and generate knowledge to support the extension of social protection coverage.
  • To enhance the competencies and support the development of sustainable and high-impact projects, a training package on Financial Education and Project Management was developed for youth NEET. 101 young people were trained, who developed and implemented 30 community inclusion projects and created 45 direct jobs.
  • To equip vulnerable youth with entrepreneurial skills to foster innovation and self-employment, launched the “Impactar” programme with the BIC - Business Incubator Center, , which benefitted 100 youth and implemented 30 youth led projects.
  • The Single Social Registry (CSU) was updated to implement and allocate social programmes to the poor and most vulnerable population, promoting their access to an integrated social protection. Over 2,700 households were added, and a total of 31,475 record updates were done, allowing for an increase in social assistance recipients and thus contributing to a two-percentage point decline in extreme poverty.
