The Technical Support Facility of the Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection for Just Transitions is organizing a webinar in collaboration with socialprotection.org, which is an online knowledge sharing and capacity strengthening platform, open to social protection practitioners, policy-makers, and experts, as well as academics and students. The platform is currently hosted by the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) and supported by the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA).
The objective of this webinar is to provide an update to the wider social protection community and beyond on the implementation of the Global Accelerator in pathfinder countries, in particular on how the initiative has contributed to the progress in the extension of social protection. Country presentations will demonstrate how the three pillars work together for results. Selected global tools that focus on the extension of social protection through integration with full and productive employment and skills policies, integrated financing and enhanced multilateral collaboration give an outlook on further potential that lies in the initiative.
