Global Accelerator and M-GA highlights

Development of the roadmap was supported by three diagnostics and assessments, spanning the mapping of Active Labour Market Policies (ALMPs) to support evidence-based policy and programme reform, developing a legal framework for social protection policy, and how the country’s integrated national financing framework can be applied to promote decent work.
M-GA has supported the national employment strategy, by initiating the Costing and Fiscal Space Analysis of the Social Protection Floor (SPF), with a specific focus on children and the working-age population with policy recommendations for consideration of the GA-TWG and approval of the TPB-IAC/GA NSC.
A Community of Practice (CoP) on Family-Friendly Policies (FFP) and care work has been established, by convening more than 140 Family Welfare Programme (FWP) coordinators. Actionable recommendations have been generated to strengthen delivery and coordination nationwide.
Over 140 representatives from companies and workers’ associations were convened by the Northern Mindanao Family Welfare Committee (FWC) Convention to strengthen the advocacy and implementation of workplace programmes promoting gender equality, child rights, and safe working environments, and advanced dialogue on family-friendly workplace practices.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) convened the Social Protection Statistics Conference, to help capacitate over 100 participants on using social protection statistics and analytical tools for programme implementation and monitoring.
